Hotel-Restaurant Seegarten Quickborn

Especially awesome as it wonderful backyard with a lake and green trail - We traveled with our dog which made the location perfect for us personally. But also a great spot with kids. The lake even has a dog swimming area. The building is of Old style classic style but rather well maintained. The hotel has two entrances: Main and one back entry from the parking lot. Friendly reception staff who gave us clear instructions on the second entry as this was often mentioned in other reviews - I can confirm that we had no issues with that or with any smoking-related smells- so they certainly took the feedback on that and also made some renovations to improve the overall state. The room though basic was clean, beds are older so not entirely comfy but not as bad especially if it’s for short stays. Did not opt for breakfast, so cannot comment on that; though the reception staff asked us to inform the prior in case we wanted to have breakfast - as it’s „on demand“. Unfortunately, restaurant with the lake side view seems to permanently closed and this is clearly mentioned on the listing. However if it was open, this would have been wonderful.

Accommodation is nice, clean and it remindes me on childhood :) Breakfast is also very good!

This is our favourite hotel when we travel from Norway to The Netherlands and back. We've stayed there many times. Very friendly staff and great breakfast.

The location is not too far from the highway. From Hamburg city it takes about 30 mins by car.
